Sharing My Journey Through Photographic Prints: Enjoy the Ride

Today I wanted to share my story and my passion for creating unique photographic prints and why I am doing that in a world of AI and mobile phones. I have nothing against them. They are great tools and I love to use them in my day to day life and even in my photography when I do not have my professional cameras around. Photography has changed so much in my life time from film to digital and now from digital to AI, but one constant has always remained, great photos come from knowing how to use the tools you have and having something wonderful to say about the things you want to capture. And I wanted to share a little about my journey on developing those two skills.

For those of you who do not know. I am Belinda Vecchio, and I am so excited to finally share a part of myself that’s been many years in the making. For the first seven years, my career was defined by the steady rhythm of a nine-to-five job in the not-for-profit sector. And to be honest it was still a great time in my life developing the fundaments of career business and management skills that would be the foundation for developing my artistic passion. It was a good, stable career, but deep down, I always felt a pull toward something more—a desire to change direction and create a life that was more aligned with an artistic life.

The decision to study photography was scary and a leap of faith, but it was one of the best choices I've ever made, because I did not want to leave behind the quality, reliability and professionalism that I had build in my business career. For me, photography was more than just a new skill; it was the perfect career to fit the life I wanted to live. The perfect blend of quality and reliable professionalism with an artistic twist.

I honed my skills working in different cities across New South Wales, South Australia, and New Zealand. I’ve enjoyed the independence of freelance work, working for big name companies like Menulog and even the Australian government. I’ve also had the opportunity to work for a large photography company as the State Manager, directing incredible, large-scale photographic projects, for Universities such as Sydney University, University of Technology, Macquarie University and the Australian Catholic University. Having a job that could travel with me gave me that freedom and flexibility. Every project was a new adventure, and each experiences taught me so much about the art and business of photography, shaping me into the professional I am today. All while capturing the beautiful locations I traveled to both privately and professionally. For no other reason than my own personal enjoyment. I did not need any amount of work commitment to get up before the break of dawn to capture the landscapes of the Alice Springs. Or the vibrant energy of Japan. I’ve collected a vast number of photos from my personal collection. Each image holds a memory, a feeling, and a story, and now I'm thrilled to be able to offer these moments as wall art prints to you.

This website is a personal gallery of my journey—both the one I've taken and the one I’m still on. My hope is that these pieces, whether it’s a serene landscape or a dynamic street scene, can find a special place in your home. I've curated a selection of my favorite works, including pieces from my time in Japan, and I'm so excited to have my art for sale. Whether you're looking for the perfect wall art for your living room or simply want to discover a new artist, I invite you to explore my collection of wall art.

And Thank you for being here with me.
